Thanks to its flexible company organisation, Granai del Sud is also able

Apulia's Tradition

A typically mild Mediterranean climate. The area has a particularly gentle
nature. For millennia, Apulia has been ideal for the cultivation of cereals.
The Romans called it "the granary of Italy".
The age-old cultivation of wheat established an ancient tradition of bakery
products that we today have inherited, thus enabling us to produce these
products according to craft methods. Frise, taralli, zeppole and many
other specialities may be used to make simple and natural dishes, made
even tastier by the numerous seasonings and flavours from the soil of
Apulia.

Respect for Nature

Granai del Sud has inherited a tradition based on a healthy and proper
relationship with nature that comes from an era when people did not need
to distort natural processes in order to extract food from the environment.
Granai del Sud has chosen the security offered by tradition. It uses carefully
selected and safe ingredients derived from completely natural cultivation
and processing.
This is a conscious choice, one which prioritises respect for the variety
of agriculture and food products and, above all, the protection of consumers'
health.

Polignano a Mare

Granai del Sud's specialities are distinguished by the genuine aromas
of Polignano and of the nearby seacoast. Houses perched high on a cliff,
over a sheer drop down to the deep, blue sea. Large grottoes, carved out
of the cliff face by the incessant waves. Transparent, crystalline waters
in a thousand shades. This is perhaps the most suggestive stretch of coastline
in the Bari area, the destination each year for both Italian and foreign
tourists, who are attracted by a rich heritage of history, culture and
traditions, as well as by the warm hospitality of the local people.
Inland lie the countryside and cultivated fields of Murgia dei Trulli,
the charm of a landscape reflected in this brilliant stretch of the Mediterranean.

Healthy Food

The Mediterranean diet has been recognised around the world as one of
the most proper diets. It contributes to the prevention of various illnesses,
such as obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. Nutritionists recommend
it not only for its low fat content but also for its wealth of carbohydrates,
which should supply 50% of normal, daily calorie intake.
Bakery products thus facilitate an active and dynamic life because of
their balanced carbohydrates, which metabolise into healthy energy.
